Digital Accessibility Architect
Mx. Pierce is responsible for planning and coordinating the university's efforts to ensure that all digital content is fully accessible to people with disabilities. Their responsibilities are focused on policy, compliance, evaluation, procurement, and proactive accessibility work (individual accommodations are not part of Grey's portfolio - those are instead the responsibility of the Accessible Education Center for students and the Workplace Accommodations for employees).
Grey serves as Chair of the university's ICT Accessibility Committee, Co-Chair of the IACA2C, and Co-Chair of the WA2C. They are on the leadership team for the Employee Disability and Neurodiversity Affinity Group and are a member of the Equity and Inclusion Advisory Council, Web Technology Service Advisory Board, and a variety of other university groups. Grey is also active in digital accessibility initiatives from the Big Ten Academic Alliance and EDUCAUSE.
Prior to joining UO in 2022, Grey was the Assistant Director of Michigan State University (MSU) Usability/Accessibility Research and Consulting, where they spent more than a decade supervising and conducting digital accessibility evaluations and advising on accessibility policy for higher education, government, corporate, and nonprofit clients and partners. At MSU, they also conducted grant-funded research on the accessibility of voting systems and advised federal and state government agencies on elections accessibility, managed a recurring statewide public opinion survey, and were involved in multiple large community and economic development grant projects.
Grey has a strong passion for diversity, equity, and inclusion, with a focus on disabilities, LGBTQIA+ identities, racial equity, public health, and the intersections between them, and has helped lead a variety of community organizations focused on those topics.

Desiree White

Web Accessibility Specialist
Desiree is responsible for evaluating, guiding, and consulting on the accessibility of university websites, web-based systems, and mobile applications. She conducts audits, advises on best practices, and manages the university's automated website scanning tool. Desiree also plays a key role in communication and training, developing tailored accessibility materials for different university audiences and helping to maintain accessibility guidelines and best practices resources. She collaborates closely with university departments, web developers, content creators, and governance groups, serving as a subject matter expert in web accessibility standards and inclusive design practices.
Prior to joining UO in 2026, Desiree worked as an IT Accessibility Analyst at Rutgers University, was a Corporate Accessibility Trainer for Deque, created MathML and accessible digital textbooks with the Georgia Institute of Technology, and worked in accessibility roles for multiple large corporations.
