DubBot

Overview

We license a service called DubBot to provide automated testing of our websites. This tool scans websites and reports on accessibility issues, broken links, misspelled words, and more.

Getting Started

To get started, please contact ictaccess@uoregon.edu with the site(s) you want scanned by DubBot, which UO accounts should have access to the scan results, and what the intended use is.

Help and Documentation

To learn how to use the system and for basic questions, please visit DubBot's Learning Center and online documentation. If you still need help, please come to a UO Web Accessibility Peer Support Drop-In meeting (you must complete UO's Web Accessibility Training in order to attend) contact ictaccess@uoregon.edu.

Limitations

Like all automated accessibility scanners, DubBot is limited in what issues it can identify. As a rough guide, assume that DubBot will only be able to find about 10% of the accessibility problems on your pages, and the remaining 90% will require manual review. While DubBot can be helpful in locating problem pages and content and identifying certain types of violations, it cannot be relied on to determine whether a page is compliant with accessibility standards.
